Mt.Miyanoura-dake, Yakushima mountain rang

Yakushima is a mountainous island that rises steeply from the sea level and is compared to the Alps on the ocean, with 10 mountains over 1,800 m in elevation and 46 over 1,000 m, including Mt.Miyanoura-dake, the highest peak in Kyushu.
In addition, due to severe erosion and weathering caused by rainfall and other factors, strangely shaped rock masses can be seen near the summit of the mountain.
On Yakushima, the mountains in the center of the island that cannot be seen from the foot of the mountain are called "Oku-dake" (only Mt.Nagata-dake can be seen from the village), and those visible from the foot are called "Mae-dake".
